Itâs Monday morning, dreary out and this is for most people the worst part of their week. Why? Monday morning is when most suicides occur and people are found to be âmost depressedâ. Maybe because they donât like their job or have some sort of struggle that they never expected in their life and have lost hope but it seems to be worse on mondayâs. So that being known I thought I would give you a boost! Lets start trusting again.
I know one thing for certain, you will be blessed when you become a blessing! If you embrace your place and count the blessings that you do have those blessings will start to multiply. The grass is greener where you water it. In order to Trust God you must be trusting even when the sun is not shining outside. Â âSo humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from youâ James 4:7
Now you might be thinking, I donât have any blessings look at how bad my situation is. Iâve heard the diagnosis and the prescription for your pain is praise. Praise...
Have you heard the good news! If you are in sales and you âdonât believe in cold callingâ you might be losing out on a lot of money. Too many sales gurus say that cold calling is dead and the truth is they just donât want to do it. How do you help a salesperson who is striving for 100,000 dollars a year â but he doesnât get leads from his company. What does he do all day? Well of course, calling on past and current clients, asking for referrals, is the first place to start, that is basic to sales training because âoneâ referral is equivalent to âfifteenâ cold calls. But what do you do after youâve called all of your clients? Networking, of course that is good too, but then you actually have to follow-up with whomever you met. Sales Training will usually identify that roughly Seventy-five percent of sales people never even follow up one time with a prospect. So if you are struggling financially, you MUST cold call, I mean, âMake new friends!â
I built my business on cold calling a...
Have you ever read the book of Revelations? I decided to cut off my television cable service and set two goals for myself to accomplish in six months. The First Goal (#1): loose X pounds of weight (Iâm not telling you how much); and the Second Goal (#2): read the entire bible.
I started with Revelations because I thought, âLets start with the end and go backwards!â What I learned from Revelations was not what I was expecting. If you havenât read it, itâs pretty wild whatâs in there â angels sending plagues, creatures coming up from the sea and red horses removing âpeaceâ from the earth. What caught my attention though was how every time God sent a plague, He waited to see who would repent and turn back to Him. Naturally the people didnât repent and another plague came.
My first instinct was, âWell, who would want to repent when God was obviously punishing them, the God of Mercy?â This was repeated often in this book.  Many people fill themselves with bitterness because God hasn...
I recently went do to a free workshop for a group of â100%â commissioned sales people. These people decide the size of their paycheck because they only get paid when they actually sell something. There are several definitions of a sales person. Unfortunately, many people have preconceived notions of a salesperson looking sleazy, wearing an outdated suite, and someone who will do anything to âsellâ even if he or she must lie.
This is more the exception than the norm. Unfortunately, there are sales techniques out there that are used for the sole purpose to âmanipulate.â âBait and switchâ is a classic one. They will tell you over the phone the price of the car that they will give (just to you) and then when you show up they will forget what they told you and make the price higher. This is poor selling because it is based on âmanipulation,â which means that the sales person is only concerned with himself or herself and not taking into consideration the needs/wants of the customer.

From years of executive coaching, Iâve decoded the secret to prosperity. It lies in one statement: âSee your future as brilliant.â What does that mean? It means if you donât have a compelling future youâll fall susceptible to giving up. âPeople without a vision perish.â Considering the state of the economy. Sixty-three per cent of Americans say that they believe the best times are behind them; that the quality of their lives and their childrenâs lives will not be as good. The problem with this, is once you believe this, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. When you stop trying, it becomes learned helplessness. Less than 20% of Americans feel they have control of their financial future. Iâm sure if youâre reading this you are not one of those people. You canât control what happens around you all of the time, and you canât control what you think all of the time, in fact sometimes you canât control what thoughts pop into your ...
âWhen one door closes another one always opens, but sometimes itâs hell in the hallways.â
What to do when you are stuck in the hallway ⌠and itâs hell?
What happens when things arenât so awesome? Do you ever feel like you are in a valley, or worse, six feet deep in a ditch in a valley? Do you feel bitter because other people seem to have good fortune and you donât? Are you feeling lost, wondering what you should be doing but not finding any answers? Have you lost your faith? Do you have a hard time trusting that âgood thingsâ will come your way because youâve been disappointed so many times? Do you feel stuck?
Good news! The deeper the valley, the higher the peak! Here is what to do:
Faith is making that cold call even though the odds are against you.
Go to the gym even though you might have so far to go.
Save money even though you have so little to begin with.
Start preparing for blessings to come. You will get nowhere through bitterness. You are not stuck; you are just on empty. Fil...
Have you ever noticed that your âheadâ may be telling you one thing and your âheartâ is telling you another?
Love is stronger than logic. This is true because think about someone you know that smokes cigarettes. Do they logically know itâs bad for them, yes? Smoking usually has an emotional attachment to it, otherwise anyone in his or her right mind would read the label and stay away. This applies to dating, do you know, or have you known someone that had dated a complete loser? You try to be the âvoice of reasonâ but they continue to go back to the loser, why? Because there is an emotional connection. Logic will not win over the âwillâ. This is important to know in sales b/c if you sell just based on price you will seldom win. Have you ever bought something that you couldnât afford? Why? Because we became emotional in one-way or another to the product.
âThe road to hell is paved with good intentionsâŚâ Do your outcomes turn out as you have intended? Sometimes we want something but ou...
What separates the successful people from everybody else? Is it âHabits.â I like to call them âRituals.â What are your ritualsâPhysical? Emotional? Intellectual? Spiritual? What Disciplines have you developed?
If you are physically fit, you would have the ritual (habit/discipline) of working out and eating well.  Emotionally angry people tend to get angry. What energy do you find yourself practicing most of the time? Intellectually, where do you seek wisdom? Are you growing, or are you in a slump? What books are you reading? And Spiritually, what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away? Can you be alone with yourselfâand do you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments?
The âworldâ tells us to do what makes us happy. I see teenagers, drinking, over eating, over spending, indulging in promiscuous behaviors, and I see a suicide rate that is 5,000 times higher today than it was 10 years ago. Why? They are doing the things that can bring pleasure, but ye...
A Word of Encouragement
Do you ever feel like you just canât get up above a problem or canât seem to accomplish that goal that youâve set as the same goal year after year? Or maybe there is that one person that haunts you with negative things that theyâve said in your past and for some reason you keep replaying their voice in your head over and over and you canât escape the limitations that theyâve set upon you? If this is you then itâs time to be set free!
-Donât worry about the haters. They are just angry because the truth you speak contradicts the lie they live.-
âTo Manipulate the fears in others you must first master your ownâ âBatman
Do you have someone in your life that tries to control you? Have you ever wanted to say to them: Deal with your own problems and leave me alone! Many times when we face difficulty or resistance itâs really more of some person placing their issues on us. The challenge is to recognize what is our stuff verses theirs. Remember, if people can...
There are two ways people are generally motivated! 1) the âCarrot.â That is the âthingâ out there in the future that you want. Maybe itâs a new car, a dream vacation, a house etc. When you create a picture of what you really want and, when you look or think about that picture of your desire, it gives you good feelings. You tell yourself and others what you want, and you begin to move in the right direction to achieve it. Motivated people typically focus on the end result. They think about what it is that they want and what it would feel like to have it. They tell themselves, âthis is easy becauseâŚâ and then they give supporting evidence to enhance and create a stronger belief (reasons) why they can achieve what they want. The next type of motivation is 2) âthe Stick.â This means you are motivated âaway fromâ pain rather than motivated âtowardsâ the âCarrotâ seeking pleasure. For example, letâs say you want more money but find yourself not motivated to go and pick up the phone.
